Dali Opticon 6 MK2 Floorstanding Speakers

The slim, floor-standing Opticon 6 MK2 is the entry point in the Opticon MK2 series for the renowned Dali hybrid soft dome and ribbon tweeter. The Opticon 6 MK2 offers a level of performance unavailable from any other Opticon model. It combines immense low frequency bandwidth, volume potential and dynamic accuracy with the extraordinary detail and clarity that arises from the use of a dedicated midrange driver. High frequencies from the hybrid tweeter are explicitly detailed and informative yet simultaneously smooth and endlessly listenable.

The Opticon 6 MK2 offers an extended low frequency profile that suits installation in large listening spaces with more distant room boundaries.

A hybrid tweeter design for silky highs

With its hybrid tweeter array that marries separate dome and ribbon tweeters, the Opticon 6 MK2 floor-standing speaker takes Dali's made-in-Denmark line to the next level. This gorgeous floorstanding speaker delivers detailed, silky-smooth highs, articulate midrange, and solid, weighty bass.

Big sound with detailed high-end

The speaker's soft-dome tweeter and custom-designed ribbon tweeter are mounted on a cast aluminium faceplate. The dome handles frequencies from around 2,000-14,000 Hz, while the ribbon starts contributing at around 10,000 and extends on up to the highest of highs. Opticon 6 MK2 has a wide dispersion pattern which helps to ensure high quality listening for everyone, not just those sitting in the ‘sweet spot’.

Opticon 6 MK2 feature Dali’s unique wood fibre drive unit technology with dual 6.5" woofers taking care of the low and mid-range frequencies.  The handoff between all drivers is handled by a carefully tuned crossover network built from low-loss components.

Patented distortion-reducing technology

The patented SMC (soft magnetic compound) woofer magnet pole pieces in Dali's Opticon line significantly reduce mechanical distortion, and help create a relaxed, uncoloured midrange. You'll hear a surprising amount of detail, without fatiguing your ears.

Premium construction

Dali has been making high-end speakers since 1983. The Opticon range is their most affordable made-in-Denmark line, and we think it offers great value for money. They're assembled in pairs by a single Dali technician, to ensure visual and acoustic matching. High-density MDF cabinets, with internal bracing and acoustic damping material throughout, all but eliminate resonance whilst a choice of three high quality finishes helps to ensure seamless integration into your room.
