Its two-way design combines a 15cm bass/mid driver with a 22mm tweeter, while refined cabinet damping, improved bracing and carefully tuned reflex loading help produce a clean, balanced and expressive performance.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the A2.2 is an excellent choice for listeners who want the presence of a floorstanding speaker without a large cabinet dominating the room.

Compact Floorstanding Design

The A2.2 is one of the most compact floorstanders in Spendor’s range, making it particularly well suited to smaller and medium-sized rooms. Its slim 150mm-wide cabinet keeps the visual footprint to a minimum, while the floorstanding design provides greater bass extension and scale than the bookshelf A1.2.

Spendor has also refined the internal airflow and port tuning to improve bass timing and definition.

Enhanced Cabinet Damping

A key development in the A2.2 is the use of constrained-layer damping with Sorbothane around the driver and cabinet interface. This helps absorb unwanted vibration before it can pass into the enclosure, reducing colouration and allowing more musical detail to come through. Combined with enhanced internal bracing, the result is a cleaner and more focused presentation with improved stereo imaging.

Refined Bass Performance

The A2.2 uses a carefully tuned bass-reflex enclosure to extend low-frequency performance while maintaining speed and control. Spendor has revised the port tuning to improve timing and reduce unwanted overhang, helping bass lines sound more precise and better integrated with the midrange.

The result is an impressively punchy and authoritative presentation given the modest dimensions whilst maintaining the agility and natural balance associated with Spendor’s A-Line Series.

Compact Size, Impressive Scale

The Spendor A2.2 is ideal for listeners who like the compact, natural character of the A1.2 but want greater bass depth and a more room-filling presentation.

Its slim proportions make it easy to position, while the improved cabinet damping, refined port tuning and carefully developed two-way design allow it to deliver a balanced, musical sound that works particularly well in smaller and medium-sized rooms.

Key Features:

Compact two-way floorstanding speaker

15cm bass/mid driver / 22mm tweeter

Refined bass-reflex port tuning

Constrained-layer Sorbothane damping

Available in Black Oak, Oak, Walnut and Satin White
