The Naim Uniti Atom is a near-perfect player. It has a wealth of connectivity and source options, an attractive design and a highly-usable app. Its screen is clear and colorful, and its playback precise and detailed. Pair it with a good pair of speakers and high-quality source material and it’ll bring new life to your favorite tunes. It’s undeniably expensive, but as a top-notch central home for all your music needs, it’s money well spent.
The Naim Uniti Atom is exactly what hi-fi should be in this day and age. Yes, you could spend £2000 on separate audio components and have change remaining for a decent set of speakers, but it’s hard to argue against the convenience and elegance of the Naim Uniti Atom, which can easily hold its own against any separates system out there. Such sound quality, such flexibility in sources and such beauty in design – this is a rare treat. If you’re ready to bring your hi-fi setup into the 21st century, the Naim Audio Atom is just what you need.
In a way it would be easy to understate just how great a performer the Uniti Atom is, insofar as it’s kind-of what we have come to expect from Naim. But if you end up hearing one and fail to be excited at the prospect of ownership then, quite frankly, there’s little hope left for you.
The Atom is expensive. For this kind of money, you could put together any number of hi-fi setups, speakers included, that would deliver very respectable sound quality. However, few of them would be as stylish, multi-talented and compact as the Uniti Atom. If you’re looking to dip a toe into the realms of high-end hi-fi, and aren’t keen on the idea of amassing multiple boxes to do one job, the Atom will be a hugely appealing option. You can’t fault the quality of the sound, nor the execution. Naim has worked to prove it could find a meeting point between classic hi-fi engineering and the future of music streaming; that it could provide unabashedly high-end sound in a stylish, compact package. The Uniti Atom is proof that it has succeeded on all fronts.
