Arcam A5+ Integrated Amplifier

The Arcam A5+ is a refined and versatile integrated amplifier designed to bring exceptional sound quality to music from both traditional and modern sources. Building on the award-winning Radia A5, the A5+ introduces an enhanced power supply alongside advanced Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, including Snapdragon Sound, aptX Lossless and Auracast.

Delivering 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, the A5+ uses Arcam's proven Class AB amplification to produce a natural, detailed and engaging performance. Whether partnered with a turntable, CD player, digital source or smartphone, it provides an excellent foundation for a high-quality stereo HiFi system.

Refined Class AB Amplification

Amplifier design has been at the heart of Arcam for nearly 50 years, beginning with the original A&R Cambridge A60 in 1976.

The A5+ continues that tradition with carefully engineered Class AB amplification, delivering 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 75 watts per channel into 4 ohms.

An enhanced power supply design further develops the performance of the original A5, helping the amplifier deliver music with excellent control, dynamics and clarity.

Snapdragon Sound & aptX Lossless

Wireless audio receives a significant upgrade with the A5+.

The latest Bluetooth 5.4 platform incorporates Snapdragon Sound and supports aptX Lossless, allowing compatible devices to transmit lossless-quality audio wirelessly to the amplifier.

Support for aptX, aptX HD, AAC and LE Audio provides broad compatibility, making it easy to enjoy high-quality music directly from a smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth source.

Auracast Wireless Audio

The A5+ also introduces Auracast, one of the most interesting additions to the latest Arcam Radia range.

Auracast allows audio from the amplifier to be shared wirelessly with compatible headphones or speakers. This provides greater flexibility around the home and makes it possible for multiple listeners to enjoy the same source through compatible Auracast devices.

The A5+ can also transmit audio to compatible Bluetooth headphones, providing a convenient option for private listening without being tied to the amplifier by a cable.

Premium ESS ES9018 DAC

Digital sources benefit from a high-quality ESS ES9018 DAC, carefully implemented to complement Arcam's analogue amplification.

High-resolution coaxial and optical digital inputs support audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, allowing compatible streamers, televisions, CD transports and other digital sources to take advantage of the A5+'s internal DAC.

The result is a clean, detailed and natural digital presentation without requiring a separate DAC.

Dedicated MM Phono Stage

Arcam has paid particular attention to the A5+'s built-in Moving Magnet phono stage, allowing a compatible turntable to connect directly to the amplifier without requiring a separate phono pre-amplifier.

Careful tuning helps preserve the warmth, dynamics and musical detail of vinyl playback, making the A5+ an excellent starting point for a system combining both analogue and digital sources.

Flexible Connectivity

Alongside its wireless capabilities, the A5+ offers a useful selection of analogue and digital connections.

Three pairs of RCA analogue inputs accommodate traditional HiFi sources, while optical and coaxial digital inputs provide connections for compatible digital equipment.

A dedicated headphone output supports headphones from 16 ohms to 2k ohms, while Bluetooth transmission provides the option of wireless headphone listening.

Radia Series Design

The A5+ continues Arcam's distinctive Radia design language, combining understated styling with premium materials.

Solid aluminium control dials are complemented by aluminium front, top, side and rear panels, giving the amplifier a reassuringly substantial feel while retaining the clean, contemporary appearance of the Radia range.
