The ARCAM AVA25 is a premium nine-channel AV amplifier designed for serious home cinema systems where sound quality matters just as much as surround capability. Engineered in Cambridge, it combines powerful Class AB amplification, advanced immersive audio processing, Dirac Live room correction and comprehensive music streaming in one refined component.

With nine channels of onboard amplification and processing for up to 16 channels, the AVA25 is equally suited to high-quality 7.1.2 and 5.1.4 systems or more ambitious installations using additional power amplifiers and subwoofers.

Powerful Class AB Amplification

At the heart of the AVA25 are nine channels of ARCAM Class AB amplification, developed to deliver the natural, dynamic and musical presentation for which the brand is known.

Power output is rated at 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms with two channels driven, rising to 160 watts into 4 ohms. With seven channels driven, the AVA25 delivers 90 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

This gives the amplifier the control and headroom needed for demanding movie soundtracks while retaining the refinement required for high-quality music playback.

Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and AURO-3D

The AVA25 supports a comprehensive range of immersive surround formats, including: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, AURO-3D, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Surround, DTS Neural:X, DTS Virtual:X, MPEG-H.

These technologies allow sound to be positioned around and above the listening position, creating a convincing three-dimensional soundfield for films, television, gaming and concert material.

Up to 16-Channel Processing

Although the AVA25 includes nine built-in amplifier channels, it can process up to 16 channels in total. Sixteen RCA preamp outputs make it possible to add external power amplification, extra height or surround channels and additional subwoofers, making the AVA25 an excellent choice for systems that may expand over time.

Dirac Live Room Correction

The AVA25 includes Dirac Live Room Correction, allowing the system to be calibrated to suit the acoustic characteristics of your room. Using the supplied measurement microphone, Dirac analyses the behaviour of the speakers and listening space before applying correction to improve tonal balance, timing and overall integration.

For more advanced systems, the AVA25 can also be upgraded with Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment.

HDMI 2.1 with 8K and 4K/120Hz Support

The AVA25 is equipped with seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, including two Zone 1 outputs and one Zone 2 output.

HDMI 2.1a support allows video signals up to 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, making the AVA25 well suited to modern gaming consoles, media players and premium televisions or projectors.

High-Resolution Music Streaming

The AVA25 is designed to perform just as confidently with music as it does with film soundtracks.

Built-in streaming support includes Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect, while the amplifier is also Roon Ready. Apple AirPlay and Google Cast are supported, together with Internet Radio, Podcasts and UPnP playback through the ARCAM Radia AV Control app.

High-resolution audio files up to 24-bit/192kHz are supported, including FLAC, WAV, ALAC and AIFF.

Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast

Bluetooth connectivity includes Snapdragon Sound and Auracast, giving the AVA25 flexible wireless audio support with compatible devices. This makes it easy to stream directly from phones and tablets while maintaining a strong focus on sound quality and convenience.

Large Colour Display and Elegant Radia Styling

The AVA25 adopts ARCAM’s latest Radia design language, with a clean, understated exterior and a large 6.5-inch high-resolution colour display.

The display clearly presents source information, settings and metadata from across the room, while the ARCAM Radia AV Control app provides convenient setup and control from compatible devices. A backlit Bluetooth remote control is also supplied.

Comprehensive Connectivity

Alongside its HDMI section, the AVA25 offers a wide range of analogue and digital inputs. There are three stereo RCA analogue inputs, two coaxial digital inputs and two optical digital inputs, together with 16 RCA preamp outputs for system expansion.
