The ARCAM AVA35 is the flagship integrated AV amplifier in ARCAM’s current Radia range, combining powerful Class G amplification, advanced 16-channel processing and exceptional flexibility for serious home cinema systems.

Engineered in Cambridge, the AVA35 is designed for enthusiasts who want immersive cinema performance without compromising music reproduction. With nine channels of built-in amplification, comprehensive surround decoding, Dirac Live room correction and extensive streaming support, it provides a formidable centrepiece for a premium cinema or media room.

ARCAM Class G Amplification

At the heart of the AVA35 are nine channels of ARCAM Class G amplification. Class G is a long-standing ARCAM speciality, designed to combine the sonic refinement of traditional Class AB amplification with improved efficiency and greater power reserves when required. The result is clean, controlled and dynamic sound with excellent clarity at lower levels and impressive headroom during demanding film soundtracks.

The AVA35 delivers 145 watts per channel into 8 ohms with two channels driven, rising to 200 watts into 4 ohms. With seven channels driven, output remains a substantial 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

Up to 16-Channel Processing

Although nine channels of amplification are built in, the AVA35 can process up to 16 channels, allowing it to form the heart of considerably more ambitious surround systems. Its matrix channel assignment system provides extensive flexibility, allowing amplifier channels to be reassigned to suit the requirements of your installation. Additional external power amplifiers can also be connected through the 16-channel RCA preamp outputs.

This makes the AVA35 particularly well suited to dedicated cinema rooms where layouts, height channels and subwoofer arrangements may evolve over time.

Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and AURO-3D

The AVA35 supports a comprehensive range of immersive surround formats including: Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Surround, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation, DTS:X, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS Neural:X, DTS Virtual:X, IMAX Enhanced, AURO-3D, AURO-2D and MPEG-H - these technologies allow compatible soundtracks to create a convincing three-dimensional soundfield, with effects positioned around and above the listening area.

Dirac Live Room Correction

The AVA35 includes Dirac Live Room Correction, helping the amplifier deliver more consistent performance within your actual listening room. Using the supplied calibration microphone, Dirac analyses the response of your speakers and room before applying correction to improve tonal balance, timing and overall integration.

For more advanced systems, the AVA35 can also be upgraded with Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, offering greater control over multiple subwoofers and complex speaker installations.

HDMI 2.1 with 8K and 4K/120Hz

The AVA35 features seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, consisting of two Zone 1 outputs and a separate Zone 2 output. HDMI 2.1a support allows signals up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz, making the amplifier ready for premium televisions, projectors, media players and current-generation games consoles.

Supported features include: Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Gaming, HLG, Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode, HDMI CEC, ARC / eARC, On-screen display.

High-Resolution Music Streaming

The AVA35 is designed to be every bit as capable with music as it is with cinema sound. Built-in streaming support includes Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect, while the amplifier is also Roon Ready.

Apple AirPlay and Google Cast are supported, alongside Internet Radio, Podcasts and UPnP playback through the ARCAM Radia AV Control app. High-resolution audio files up to 24-bit/192kHz are supported, including FLAC, WAV, ALAC and AIFF.

Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast

The AVA35 also includes advanced Bluetooth connectivity with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast. This provides a convenient way to stream wirelessly from compatible phones, tablets and other devices while maintaining a strong emphasis on audio quality.

Premium Radia Design

The AVA35 follows ARCAM’s latest Radia design language, combining a clean, understated appearance with a large high-resolution colour display. The front panel gives clear access to source and system information, while the ARCAM Radia AV Control app provides convenient setup and day-to-day operation from iOS, Android and Windows devices. A backlit Bluetooth remote control is also included.

Beyond HDMI, the AVA35 provides a useful selection of analogue and digital connections. There are three stereo RCA analogue inputs, two coaxial digital inputs and two optical digital inputs, along with 16 RCA preamp outputs for system expansion.
