Audiolab 7000A Integrated Amplifier

The Audiolab 7000A is a versatile integrated amplifier that sits between the 6000 and 9000 Series, combining powerful Class AB amplification with a high-performance ESS DAC, HDMI ARC, aptX Bluetooth, MM phono stage and high-resolution USB audio.

Delivering 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 110 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the 7000A offers greater power and control than the 6000A while retaining the flexibility and clean design that have made Audiolab amplifiers so popular.

70W Class AB Amplification

At the heart of the 7000A is a discrete Class AB power amplifier using a Complementary Feedback topology. This design is intended to provide excellent linearity and thermal stability, while the amplifier can deliver up to 11 amps of output current when driving more demanding loudspeakers.

Power output is rated at 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms, rising to 110 watts per channel into 4 ohms, giving the 7000A enough headroom for a wide range of bookshelf and floorstanding speakers.

Substantial 250VA Power Supply

The power amplifier is supported by a 250VA toroidal transformer and four 15,000µF reservoir capacitors, providing a total of 60,000µF of smoothing capacity. This substantial power supply helps the amplifier maintain firm loudspeaker control and strong dynamic performance, particularly when music becomes more demanding.

ESS ES9038Q2M DAC

Digital conversion is handled by the highly regarded ESS ES9038Q2M 32-bit DAC. The DAC uses ESS HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator technology, while Audiolab partners it with a Class A post-DAC filter stage designed to reduce noise and preserve detail.

This gives the 7000A a sophisticated digital section suitable for everything from CD transports and streamers to high-resolution computer audio.

High-Resolution USB Audio

The rear USB-B input supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD playback up to DSD512. This makes the 7000A an excellent choice for users with high-resolution music libraries stored on a computer. Optical and coaxial digital inputs support signals up to 24-bit/192kHz.

HDMI ARC for TV Sound

A built-in HDMI ARC input allows the 7000A to become the audio hub of a high-quality two-channel television system. Bluetooth with aptX

The front panel features a 2.8-inch full-colour IPS display with a clear graphical interface. It can display source information, system settings and even digital or analogue-style VU meters, giving the 7000A a more contemporary feel while retaining Audiolab’s clean, understated design.
