Focal Bathys Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones Dune

Description

Focal Bathys Dune Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

The Focal Bathys brings genuine high-fidelity sound to a premium wireless headphone, combining Focal’s French-made 40mm Aluminium/Magnesium drivers with active noise cancellation, aptX Adaptive Bluetooth and a built-in USB DAC.

Designed for music lovers who want serious sound quality at home or on the move, Bathys offers the refinement and detail associated with Focal’s traditional audiophile headphones while adding the convenience of wireless listening, long battery life and effective noise reduction.

French-Made 40mm Aluminium/Magnesium Drivers

At the heart of Bathys are 40mm Aluminium/Magnesium ‘M’-shaped dome drivers, manufactured in Focal’s own workshops in France. The combination of aluminium and magnesium provides an excellent balance between rigidity and damping, helping the drivers deliver deep, controlled bass, clear vocals and finely detailed treble with very low distortion.

The result is a fast, precise and engaging presentation that brings much of Focal’s high-end headphone character to a portable wireless design.

High-Resolution USB DAC Mode

Bathys goes well beyond conventional Bluetooth headphones with its integrated USB DAC mode. Connect directly to a compatible computer, smartphone or tablet via USB-C and Bathys can reproduce high-resolution audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz.

This bypasses Bluetooth compression and allows the headphones to deliver their highest level of sound quality, making Bathys equally suitable for serious listening at home or at a desk.

aptX Adaptive Bluetooth

Bluetooth 5.1 with Multipoint provides convenient wireless connectivity and allows Bathys to remain connected to two compatible devices. Supported codecs include: aptX Adaptive, aptX, AAC and SBC.

aptX Adaptive provides improved sound quality and lower latency with compatible devices, making Bathys suitable for music, films and everyday wireless listening.

Active Noise Cancellation

Bathys features active noise cancellation with several listening modes to suit different environments. Silent Mode provides the strongest noise reduction for travel and busy surroundings, while Soft Mode offers a lighter level of cancellation for quieter spaces. A Transparent Mode lets outside sound back in when you need to remain aware of your surroundings.

Up to 30 Hours Wireless Listening

Bathys provides up to 30 hours of battery life in Bluetooth mode with noise cancellation active. Battery life extends further when using wired connections, offering up to approximately 35 hours via the 3.5mm connection and up to 42 hours in USB DAC mode.

Fast charging provides around 5 additional hours of listening from just 15 minutes of charging.

Focal & Naim App

The Focal & Naim app allows Bathys to be personalised to suit your preferences. Features include adjustable EQ, noise cancellation settings and Focal’s Mimi Hearing functionality, which can tailor the sound according to an individual hearing profile.

The illuminated Focal logo can also be dimmed or switched off through the app.

Designed for Comfort

Bathys combines premium materials with a lightweight and comfortable over-ear design. Aluminium and magnesium are used throughout the headphone structure, while soft ear cushions and carefully controlled clamping pressure help maintain comfort over longer listening sessions. At approximately 350g, Bathys feels substantial without becoming excessively heavy for a premium wireless headphone.

Premium Focal Styling

The design takes clear inspiration from Focal’s high-end wired headphones, with distinctive perforated earcup grilles, sculpted yokes and an illuminated Focal logo.

Bathys is available in elegant finishes including Deep Black and Dune, giving it a sophisticated appearance that feels equally appropriate at home, in the office or while travelling.

Clear Voice Calls

An eight-microphone system supports both noise cancellation and voice calls. Clear Voice Capture technology helps isolate speech from surrounding noise, making Bathys suitable for phone calls and video meetings as well as music listening.
