New Larger 6-Inch C-CAM Driver

One of the most significant upgrades for the Silver 50 8G is its new 6-inch C-CAM mid/bass driver, replacing the smaller 5¼-inch unit used in the previous Silver 50 7G. The increased driver size gives the Silver 50 8G greater low-frequency capability, scale and dynamic authority while retaining the speed and precision expected from a premium standmount loudspeaker.

Monitor Audio's latest Rigid Surface Technology III (RST III) cone geometry further increases rigidity and control, allowing the driver to respond accurately to the musical signal while reducing unwanted distortion.

The result is bass that's surprisingly deep and substantial for a speaker of this size, accompanied by a clear, expressive and naturally detailed midrange.

Latest C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter

High frequencies are handled by Monitor Audio's latest 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, developed specifically for the eighth-generation Silver Series. The revised design incorporates an improved motor system, shorting ring and vented rear chamber to help reduce distortion and improve linearity.
