PMC prophecy5 Floorstanding Speakers
The PMC prophecy5 is an elegant, compact floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver remarkably expansive, natural sound without dominating your living space. Sitting at the heart of the prophecy range, it combines PMC's renowned transmission line expertise with advanced driver technology to produce exceptional clarity, powerful dynamics and beautifully controlled bass.
At the heart of the prophecy5 is PMC's innovative LaminairX transmission line technology, an evolution of the company's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) design. By carefully controlling airflow through the cabinet and reducing turbulence at the vent, LaminairX helps deliver cleaner, faster and more precisely defined bass while allowing the speaker to perform with impressive scale from a relatively slender enclosure.
High frequencies are handled by a 27mm soft-dome tweeter, engineered to deliver a smooth, open and natural treble response with excellent detail and controlled dispersion. This works seamlessly with PMC's 125mm LTXL mineral-cone mid/bass driver, creating a coherent, spacious soundstage with precise imaging and excellent vocal clarity.
The prophecy5 has been designed to reveal the character and emotion of a recording rather than impose a sound of its own. From intimate acoustic performances to complex orchestral recordings and powerful contemporary music, it combines subtle detail with impressive dynamics and rhythmic control.
Its slim proportions make the prophecy5 particularly well suited to contemporary living spaces where high-end performance is required without the visual impact of a larger floorstander. Beautifully engineered cabinetry and a choice of premium finishes complete a speaker that looks every bit as refined as it sounds.
