PMC prophecy7 Floorstanding Speakers
The PMC prophecy7 is a premium three-way floorstanding loudspeaker that combines exceptional transparency, powerful dynamics and remarkably controlled bass within an elegant, slimline cabinet. Sitting between the prophecy5 and flagship prophecy9, it introduces a dedicated midrange driver for even greater vocal realism, clarity and musical detail.
At the heart of the prophecy7 is PMC's renowned Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) technology, enhanced by the latest LaminairX airflow system. The precision-engineered LaminairX vent reduces turbulence and resistance as air exits the transmission line, helping the prophecy7 produce deep, fast and beautifully controlled bass with exceptional timing and definition.
Low frequencies are handled by a 125mm LTXL mineral-cone bass driver with a rigid cast-alloy chassis. Working in conjunction with the 1.91-metre effective transmission line, this provides impressive bass extension and dynamics while maintaining the speed and accuracy for which PMC loudspeakers are renowned.
A dedicated 55mm soft-dome precision midrange driver allows vocals and instruments to be reproduced with outstanding naturalness and clarity. By allowing the bass and treble drivers to concentrate on their respective frequency ranges, the three-way configuration creates an exceptionally open, effortless and coherent presentation.
High frequencies are reproduced by PMC's 27mm soft-dome tweeter, delivering smooth, detailed treble with excellent dispersion. Together, the three drive units create a spacious and precisely focused soundstage, revealing subtle details within recordings while retaining a natural and engaging musical balance.
Despite its impressive performance, the prophecy7 remains remarkably room-friendly. Its slender proportions allow it to integrate comfortably into contemporary living spaces, while the substantial LaminairX base helps provide excellent stability.
Whether reproducing intimate acoustic recordings, large-scale orchestral performances or powerful contemporary music, the PMC prophecy7 combines refinement with impressive scale and authority, bringing listeners remarkably close to the original performance.
