Pro-Ject CD Box S3 CD Player

Description

Pro-Ject CD Box S3 CD Player

The Pro-Ject CD Box S3 is a compact dedicated CD player designed for high-quality stereo playback in a space-saving format.

Unlike multi-purpose DVD or Blu-ray players, the CD Box S3 is built specifically for audio CDs, with a precision slot-loading mechanism, bit-accurate playback and a high-quality internal DAC. Its compact aluminium chassis also makes it an ideal partner for Pro-Ject’s S3 Series electronics.

Dedicated CD Playback

The CD Box S3 is designed specifically for Red Book CD-DA discs, helping keep the signal path focused purely on music playback. Its slot-loading mechanism draws the disc in smoothly, while the front display shows track information clearly without dominating the compact design.

High-Quality 32-bit DAC

Inside, the CD Box S3 uses a PCM5102 DAC capable of processing up to 32-bit/384kHz. For a simple system, the stereo RCA analogue output allows direct connection to an amplifier. Alternatively, the coaxial digital output can be used with an external DAC or amplifier with digital inputs.

Compact Aluminium Casework

The rigid aluminium and metal chassis helps protect the internal circuitry from unwanted electrical interference while giving the player a clean, understated appearance. At just 206mm wide, the CD Box S3 is particularly easy to accommodate on smaller furniture or alongside other compact Pro-Ject components.

Simple to Use

Front-panel transport controls provide direct access to play, pause, stop and track selection, while the supplied remote control offers convenient operation from the listening position. The 1.54-inch display can also be inverted to suit different lighting conditions or personal preference.

Small Size, Big Performance

The Pro-Ject CD Box S3 is an excellent choice for anyone who still values a physical CD collection but wants something more compact than a traditional full-width player.

Its dedicated CD transport, quality internal DAC and choice of analogue or digital outputs make it easy to integrate into both traditional and modern hi-fi systems, while its compact aluminium design pairs perfectly with the rest of Pro-Ject’s S3 range.
