Pro-Ject E1.2 Phono Turntable
The Pro-Ject E1.2 Phono is an easy-to-use belt-drive turntable designed to make high-quality vinyl playback simple and accessible. Handmade in Europe and supplied pre-adjusted from the factory, it combines straightforward operation with carefully chosen hi-fi components and a built-in switchable phono preamplifier.
That means the E1.2 Phono can connect directly to a conventional line-level AUX or CD input, making it an excellent choice for anyone building their first vinyl system or adding a turntable to an amplifier without a dedicated phono input.
Built-In Switchable Phono Stage
The E1.2 Phono features an integrated moving magnet phono preamplifier, allowing it to connect directly to almost any amplifier, powered speaker or music system with a suitable line-level input.
The phono stage can also be switched out if you prefer to use a dedicated external phono preamplifier or an amplifier with its own MM phono input, giving the turntable useful flexibility as your system develops.
730g Die-Cast Aluminium Platter
One of the key upgrades to the E1.2 is its 730g die-cast aluminium platter. The platter is precision balanced and designed to provide a stable, low-resonance platform for your records. Its increased weight helps improve rotational stability while reducing unwanted vibration, contributing to cleaner, more focused playback.
Pick it MM E Cartridge
The E1.2 Phono is supplied with Pro-Ject's Pick it MM E moving magnet cartridge, pre-installed and adjusted at the factory.
Its low-mass generator uses a miniature neodymium magnet to improve tracking accuracy, while the conical diamond stylus is designed to provide a smooth and enjoyable tonal balance with low background noise.
Because the cartridge is factory fitted and aligned, there is no complicated setup required before you can start listening.
Precision Aluminium Tonearm
A 8.6-inch CNC-machined aluminium tonearm uses a high-mass gimbal design with a precision bearing system engineered for smooth, stable movement.
The oversized counterweight is positioned close to the tonearm's pivot point, helping improve balance and tracking performance. Tracking force and anti-skating are pre-adjusted at the factory, making the E1.2 Phono genuinely plug-and-play.
Electronic 33 and 45 RPM Speed Change
Switching between LPs and singles is straightforward thanks to electronic speed selection for 33 and 45 RPM.
There is no need to manually reposition the drive belt when changing speed, making everyday use quicker and more convenient.
Solid Belt-Drive Construction
The E1.2 Phono uses a traditional belt-drive system with a damped DC motor to help isolate motor vibration from the platter and cartridge.
A precision glass-fibre reinforced ABS sub-platter works with a stainless steel main bearing axle and bronze bushing to provide smooth rotation and low mechanical noise.
The turntable's solid chassis avoids hollow spaces that can encourage unwanted resonance, while damping feet help isolate it from external vibration and acoustic feedback.
Ready to Play
Pro-Ject has designed the E1.2 Phono to remove much of the complication traditionally associated with setting up a turntable.
The cartridge, tracking force and anti-skating are factory adjusted, while the turntable is supplied with its dust cover, power supply and 7-inch single adaptor. Simply position the turntable, connect it to your system and start enjoying your records.
Stylish, Simple Design
The E1.2 Phono retains the clean, minimalist appearance for which Pro-Ject turntables are known.
Its slim plinth, uncluttered controls and understated finish allow it to fit comfortably into both traditional hi-fi systems and more contemporary interiors.
It is available in Black, White and Wood finishes, making it easy to choose a version that suits your system and room.
