Ruark Audio R610 Music Console

The Ruark Audio R610 Music Console brings the classic stereo music centre concept firmly up to date, combining powerful amplification, high-resolution streaming, radio, HDMI connectivity and a moving magnet phono stage in one beautifully designed component.

Delivering 75 watts per channel of Class D amplification, the R610 is designed to partner passive speakers and form the heart of a serious but wonderfully simple hi-fi system. Add Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, DAB+, FM, Internet Radio and optional CD playback, and it becomes an exceptionally versatile source and amplifier in one elegant unit.

2 x 75W Class D Amplification

The R610 uses a modern switch-mode power supply and 2 x 75W nominal Class D amplification, giving it enough power to drive a wide range of bookshelf and floorstanding speakers.

Its amplifier stage is designed to offer good control, low noise and plenty of headroom, allowing the R610 to deliver a clean, dynamic and natural presentation across a wide range of music.

Burr-Brown 32-Bit DAC

Digital conversion is handled by a Burr-Brown 32-bit/192kHz DAC, supported by carefully selected audio-grade components. The result is a refined digital front end capable of handling high-resolution sources while maintaining the smooth, natural balance associated with Ruark products. A matching 32-bit/192kHz ADC is also used for analogue sources.

High-Resolution Music Streaming

The R610 supports high-resolution music files up to 32-bit/192kHz, making it suitable for serious network playback as well as everyday streaming.

Built-in services include Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect. Other services such as Apple Music, BBC Sounds and Deezer can be played through Apple AirPlay or Google Cast.

Apple AirPlay and Google Cast

Built-in Apple AirPlay and Google Cast make it easy to stream from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers. They also allow the R610 to work within compatible multi-room systems, giving the console far greater flexibility than a traditional integrated amplifier.

Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD

For quick wireless playback, the R610 includes Bluetooth 5.1 with support for aptX HD, AAC and SBC. The R610 also supports Bluetooth headphones, making private listening easy without the need for a separate headphone transmitter.

DAB, DAB+, FM and Internet Radio

The R610 offers a comprehensive selection of radio options including Internet Radio, DAB, DAB+ and FM with RDS. Up to 20 global presets can be stored, giving quick access to favourite stations and sources.

HDMI ARC and eARC

A built-in HDMI ARC/eARC input allows the R610 to connect directly to a compatible television. This makes it possible to use a pair of proper hi-fi speakers for TV, films and streaming services, rather than relying on the television’s built-in speakers or a soundbar.

For many living-room systems, this makes the R610 a particularly attractive alternative to a conventional AV receiver.

Built-In Moving Magnet Phono Stage

A dedicated moving magnet phono input allows a compatible turntable to connect directly to the R610. The phono stage includes adjustable gain, making it easier to match a range of MM cartridges without needing an external phono preamplifier.

Optical and Analogue Inputs

Traditional sources are well supported with a range of source inputs including Stereo RCA line input, Optical digital input, Moving magnet phono input and HDMI ARC/eARC. The optical input supports PCM audio up to 24-bit/96kHz, making it suitable for a CD transport, television or other digital source.

Pre-Out / Line-Out and Subwoofer Output

The R610 includes a selectable RCA line output / pre-output, giving flexibility for system expansion. A dedicated mono RCA subwoofer output is also provided, making it easy to add an active subwoofer for greater low-frequency extension.

USB-C Playback and Charging

A rear USB-C port supports both charging and multi-format audio playback. Supported file types include MP3, AAC, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC and WAV. High-resolution files are supported up to 32-bit/192kHz.

Optional R-CD100 CD Player

The R610 can be partnered with Ruark’s optional R-CD100 CD Player, which has been designed specifically to complement the 100 Series. This allows customers with an existing CD collection to add disc playback while retaining the clean, coordinated look of the system.

5-Inch Colour Display

The R610 features a large 5-inch high-contrast colour TFT display. Album artwork, radio information, menus and source details are displayed clearly, while automatic dimming helps the screen remain discreet in lower-light environments.

Rechargeable Wireless Remote

A rechargeable wireless remote control is supplied as standard. Because it communicates wirelessly rather than through conventional infrared, direct line-of-sight is not required.

The familiar Ruark RotoDial control system is also built into the top panel, providing tactile and intuitive operation directly from the console.

Classic Hi-Fi Inspiration

The R610 takes inspiration from the stereo music centres of the 1970s, but its design is unmistakably modern. Available finishes include Fused Walnut cabinet with Fused Walnut fascia or Charcoal Lacquer cabinet with Fused Walnut fascia.
