The Wharfedale Super Linton takes one of Britain's most celebrated loudspeaker designs to a new level. Building on the hugely successful Linton Heritage, the Super Linton combines classic proportions and traditional craftsmanship with significant acoustic upgrades, delivering greater scale, clarity and refinement while retaining the warm, natural musical character that makes the Linton so appealing.

Designed as a premium three-way standmount speaker, the Super Linton uses a larger cabinet with increased internal volume, allowing it to produce deeper, more authoritative bass and a more expansive presentation. The result is a speaker capable of filling larger listening spaces while maintaining excellent control and musical balance.

Three-Way Driver Design

A substantial 200mm (8-inch) woven Kevlar® bass driver provides impressive low-frequency depth and impact. Developed specifically for the Super Linton, the driver incorporates an upgraded motor system to deliver improved control, speed and definition.

Midrange frequencies are handled by a dedicated 135mm (5.3-inch) woven Kevlar® driver, housed within its own carefully engineered internal chamber. This allows voices and instruments to be reproduced with excellent clarity and natural tonal character without interference from the powerful bass driver.

At the top end, a 25mm soft-dome tweeter delivers smooth, detailed high frequencies. The tweeter incorporates an upgraded motor system and rear chamber designed to improve clarity and extension while retaining Wharfedale's characteristically refined and non-fatiguing presentation.

Refined Crossover

Wharfedale has developed an extensively upgraded crossover specifically for the Super Linton using carefully selected components and sophisticated acoustic modelling to integrate the three drive units seamlessly.

The result is a coherent, balanced presentation with excellent timing and a wide, precisely focused soundstage. From intimate vocals and acoustic recordings to rock, electronic and large-scale orchestral music, the Super Linton delivers impressive dynamics while preserving the subtle details that bring recordings to life.

Bigger, Deeper and More Authoritative

The Super Linton's larger cabinet provides increased internal volume compared with the standard Linton, helping extend low-frequency performance while giving music a greater sense of scale and ease.

Twin rear-firing reflex ports are carefully tuned to complement the bass driver and cabinet, producing deep, controlled low frequencies without sacrificing speed or definition. This makes the Super Linton equally capable with subtle acoustic bass lines and powerful contemporary recordings.

Classic British Design

The Super Linton celebrates Wharfedale's long loudspeaker heritage with beautifully proportioned cabinetry and premium real wood veneer finishes. Its broad front baffle and traditional proportions give it unmistakable vintage character, while the quality of construction and finish make it equally at home in contemporary interiors.
