Marantz has been making high-performance CD players since the dawn of the format. the CD60 has benefited from the legacy of engineering and refinement that includes the latest HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) utilised in the analogue output stage. The new HDAMs provide superior response compared to off-the-shelf solutions found in most other branded products, these modules have been further optimized for the CD60 offering significantly lower distortion at high frequencies than the previous generation model.
The CD60 also includes the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 high-performance Headphone Amp circuit with three gain settings (Low / Mid / High) for a perfect match with almost any headphone. The headphone amplifier can also be switched to "off" when not in use, eliminating any unwanted interference.
Premium Build Quality
The CD60 features a smooth-operating disc transport which is assisted by the double-bottomed steel construction and substantial aluminium faceplate. Weighing north of 7 kilos, it has satisfying heft. CD playback compatibility includes CD/CD-R/CD-RW discs. CDs with MP3 and WMA files are also playable.
DAC options and headphone amp
The CD60 features a new reference-class DAC that provides up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution. And whether you're playing a CD or using the front-panel USB port to play from an external USB flash drive, a selectable digital filter lets you tailor its performance to your listening preference. You can also use the optical or coaxial digital outputs if you want to connect to an outboard DAC. Its built-in HDAM®-SA2 headphone amp has three gain settings for a perfect match with pretty much any headphones
