Sony HT-A5000 Dolby Atmos Soundbar

The Sony HT-A5000 sound bar produces powerful cinematic sound with its nine built-in speakers and Dolby Atmos surround decoding. With the latest Dolby Atmos surround sound decoding built-in the HT-A5000 will reflect sound off your ceiling and walls to make you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. This soundbar even has a pair of built-in subwoofers to create deep, punch bass.

Perfect Partners

The HT-A5000 works well with any make of TV but it was especially designed to complement Sony’s own BRAVIA TV range. With these models, the sound bar's settings are automatically added to the TV's Quick Settings menu to make things easier. You can also connect the HT-A5000 to a BRAVIA with an extra stereo mini cable (included with the sound bar). That lets the bar and the TV work together to reproduce dialogue and other centre channel sounds for a more immersive experience.

Versatile music streaming

The HT-A5000 has several built-in options for playing your music and other content wirelessly. There's Bluetooth built in for mobile devices, plus Wi-Fi streaming for playing files on your home network. Apple AirPlay 2 makes it simple to play music and more from iOS® devices. For Android™ fans the HT-A5000 can also stream content through Chromecast built-in, via a wide range of compatible apps. 

You can even control the sound bar and make song selections using a Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice controller (sold separately).

Latest HDMI specifications

The bar's HDMI 2.1 ports support the latest 4K/120Hz and 8K video passthrough as well as HDR (High Dynamic Range) formats like Dolby Vision, so you'll be able to maximise the picture quality from your next-gen games console or 4K Blu-ray player. With eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), you can also receive uncompressed audio signals — including Dolby Atmos — from an eARC-equipped TV.

Hi-Res Audio playback

If your music collection includes high-resolution music files, you can play them back on the HT-A5000 via the USB connection. Sony’s DSEE Extreme™ (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) even upscales lower resolution digital audio files, so you can enjoy better sound quality even with compressed formats like MP3.
