Sony BRAVIA KD55X85L 55” Full Array 4K HDR LED Smart TV

The Sony KD55X85L is the first model in this year’s range to include a Full Array LED Display, this screen technology offers a clear step-up in picture quality when compared to more basic edge-lit models. By placing LEDs across the entire screen with each zone precisely controlled the X85L produces truly accurate contrast, colour and depth. With powerful image processing the X85L delivers a crisp, vibrant picture on all kinds of content. Sony’s X-Motion Clarity technology ensures smooth, clear and blur free images for fast moving scenes making it ideal for sports fans.

Rich colour and detail

The X85L uses Sony's unique TRILUMINOS™ PRO display technology. This system accurately reproduces a very wide palette of colours, which will make High Dynamic Range content look especially stunning.

This TV supports several HDR formats, including HDR10, which is a requirement for Ultra HD Blu-ray movies and streamed 4K content. It can also handle the more sophisticated Dolby Vision® format. This dynamic HDR system adjusts brightness and colour levels in response to the video signal on a scene-by-scene basis to ensure the best possible image quality.

You also get Sony's 4K HDR Processor X1™ which analyses the colour in individual objects and adjusts the contrast accordingly. When objects are remastered individually, you get greater depth, enhanced texture, and a more realistic picture. 

Google TV built-in

The built-in Google TV smart app platform consolidates a wide range of streaming services into a single user interface. Watch an episode of Killing Eve on iPlayer followed by The Expanse on Amazon Prime all from one watch list, without having to search around in individual apps. And if you're feeling really lazy, you can simply ask the remote's built-in Google Assistant to pull up a show or movie. You can also adjust the volume, change channels or inputs, and control other basic TV functions using your voice.

Multiple streaming options

The X85L has Chromecast built-in and Apple AirPlay® 2 support so you can easily stream content from your mobile device or compatible computer. The TV also includes the Apple TV streaming app, so you can rent, buy, and watch titles from Apple's video library, and subscribe to Apple TV channels, without connecting a separate box.

Flush Surface bezel design

X85L features a very slim bezel that helps your eyes to naturally focus on the picture and not what's around it. The stylish aluminium blade stand design looks light and airy whilst also providing space for a suitable soundbar.

Game on

The X85L is well specified for gaming fans, it will support 4K at 120Hz, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for smooth, tear-free graphics and enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC).
